Premium Efoil Comparison Worksheet
A side-by-side worksheet for shortlisting up to three premium electric hydrofoil boards on the specifications, safety features, ownership costs, and demo impressions that actually decide whether a five-figure board suits you.

Efoil product pages are written to win a comparison on their own terms, which usually means a headline speed, a headline ride time, and a headline price that leaves out the second wing, the spare battery, or the delivery crate. A worksheet forces every board onto the same terms. Each row below is one criterion from the pillar guide on this site, with a plain note on why it matters, three columns for the boards you are considering, and a final column where you record how much that criterion matters to you personally. A rider who learns on a sheltered lake and a rider who wants to cross open water should not weight the rows the same way, and writing the priority down is what stops the most persuasive salesperson from setting it for you.
Fill in what you can from the specification sheets, then leave the demo row blank until you have ridden each board at your own weight on water like yours. Where a claimed figure and a measured figure both exist, write both. The Efoil Ride Time and Range Estimator in our Tools section gives you a realistic session length to hold against each claimed ride time, and the Efoil Cost per Ride Calculator turns the total price row into a cost per session you can compare across boards. Our Compare page ranks the main configurations on the same criteria, and the article on why board volume matters so much for stability on a luxury efoil explains the first row in depth.
| Criterion | Why it matters | Board A | Board B | Board C | Your priority (1 to 5) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Board volume in liters | More volume means more stability at low speed and an easier learning phase for a heavier or newer rider | Your figure | Your figure | Your figure | Your rating |
| Construction and assembled weight | Carbon saves carrying weight and adds stiffness; composite can be more forgiving of knocks and cheaper to repair | Your notes | Your notes | Your notes | Your rating |
| Front wing sizes offered | A larger wing lifts earlier and rides slower and steadier; a smaller wing carves harder and suits a confident rider | Sizes available | Sizes available | Sizes available | Your rating |
| Mast lengths available | A shorter mast is friendlier for learning and shallow water; a longer mast handles chop and steeper carving | Lengths available | Lengths available | Lengths available | Your rating |
| Battery capacity and swap design | Capacity drives ride time; a removable pack means a spare can double a day on the water | Your figure | Your figure | Your figure | Your rating |
| Claimed ride time versus your demo ride time | Your weight, wing choice, and throttle habits decide the real number, so record what you measured | Claimed / measured | Claimed / measured | Claimed / measured | Your rating |
| Propulsion type | An enclosed jet keeps the impeller shrouded; an open propeller with a guard is the usual alternative | Jet or propeller | Jet or propeller | Jet or propeller | Your rating |
| Remote and safety features | Motor stop on trigger release, water shutoff, pack indicator, prop guard, and any app or GPS logging | Your notes | Your notes | Your notes | Your rating |
| Charge time and charger included | A long charge with a single pack can mean one session per day; check whether a fast charger costs extra | Your figure | Your figure | Your figure | Your rating |
| Warranty, service network, and spare parts | Who repairs the board, how far away they are, and how long a replacement wing or pack takes to arrive | Your notes | Your notes | Your notes | Your rating |
| Total kit price in USD | Board, battery, charger, the wings you will actually ride, a bag, and delivery, not the headline number | Your figure | Your figure | Your figure | Your rating |
| Demo impression | How the board felt at your weight, on your water, at your current skill level, after at least two runs | Your notes | Your notes | Your notes | Your rating |
